The FDA Food code requires that food employees are informed in a “verifiable manner” of their responsibility to report information about their health and activities as they relate to diseases that are transmissible through food. This can be done by having employees review the FERA. Although the virus that causes COVID-19 is not a foodborne illness, the attached FERA includes symptoms of and the diagnosis of COVID-19.
